About Curricuium About Curriculum

Core Competence

Some IEYC subjects are so intertwined with our core areas that teachers contrive ways to get the most synergy from combining them. As IEYC encourages active parental involvement in various forms, CPIPS would request parents’ cooperation in this regard. In a CPIPS library, students will find the joy of going through English Language picture books and storybooks with their teachers. It instills in them a sense of wonder, a curiosity about the world and a habit of reading that will be an asset for life.

CPIPS childcare and education program

Combi Plaza follows a holistic approach to early years education that focuses on Physical Education, Music, Art, Dietary awareness, Environmental awareness and healthy living habits in a safe environment guided by established curriculum as follows:
・A curriculum practiced for years in Japanese nurseries based on national guidelines formulated by the Government of Japan, mainly to meet individual development needs as well as global demands.
・An internationally recognized English curriculum, “International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC)”, developed in the United Kingdom. The IEYC uses international best practices, holistic enquiry and play-based approaches that cover all curriculum areas including personal, social and emotional development that is taught by trained native-English-speaking teachers.
・Originally developed curricula to put an emphasis on three core areas that we believe essential for students to become a confident global citizen in the future, namely moral education, dietary education and environmental education.Through daily life and experience in a favourable environment in CPIPS, students will be:
  • – Developing a sense of morality
  • – Forming adequate dietary behavior, preferences and manner
  • – Establishing environmental consciousness
